Premium resortwear and beachwear show, Splash Paris, opened yesterday with temperatures climing in excess of 38 degrees by the afternoon. This summer event always held at the end of June is repeatedly one of the hottest weekends of the year (even without an European heatwave!).

However it did not put off the visitors (on the first day at least mostly French and German stores and shops) and the organisers had cleverly organised the layout that attendees were ushered to the first floor first and thereafter to the ground floor to increase the regularity of traffic. Everyone was treated to gifts on arrival (water bottles – tick – scarves, hair grips, holdalls, pens, beach jewellery…).
The Show continues to offer both trusted resort and swim brands as well as brands debuting at the July event. New to the party included Chantelle, Ro’s Garden, Dippin Daisys and Kaly Ora (with reversible swimwear styles).
Amongst regular brands at the Show, the busiest stands were Italian brand My Beachy Side with their crochet designs, SeaLevel showing 2026-27 and resort and Greek Archaic Kori (who caused something of a traffic jam on the first floor). For the first day British buyers were not really in evidence and exhibitors said that they were expecting them to arrive on Sunday afternoon and Monday when the temperatures had dropped a little! British brand Juliet Dunn continues to show at Splash but Heidi Klein was not in attendance this year.
Splash Paris is open today and tomorrow (until 6.00pm on both days).
The next edition of the Show is from 3-5 October (coinciding with Paris Fashion Week).
