HANRO celebrated its current Fall/Winter campaign “Soft Motion” and its partnership with Staatsoperette Dresden with an intimate private dinner at Clärchens Ballhaus. At the heart of the evening was a dance performance created especially for the occasion by choreographer Gabriel Pitoni and featuring dancers from the campaign.
The evening began with an aperitivo accompanied by live music in the historic Spiegelsaal, before the dance floor itself became the stage. Pitoni, who choreographed both the “Soft Motion” campaign and Staatsoperette Dresden’s production of “Ich, Eurydike”, brought the campaign’s fluid sense of movement to life through an intimate contemporary performance staged among the guests.
For the occasion, HANRO chose a venue deeply rooted in Berlin’s dance culture. Clärchens Ballhaus has been bringing people together through dance for 111 years and dates back to an era when Berlin was home to around 900 ballrooms. More than a century later, it remains a place dedicated to dance, culture and social exchange.
The evening brought together guests from across the worlds of art, culture and media. Among them were “Babylon Berlin” star Trystan Pütter, currently appearing in the Disney+ series “City of Blood”, “Sound of Falling” actress Susanne Wuest and performance artist Göksu Kunak, recipient of the Berlin Academy of Arts’ Performing Arts Prize in 2025, as well as Berlin State Opera principal dancers Haruka Sassa and David Motta Soares.
The collaboration reflects the same idea at the heart of the collection itself. Close-fitting silhouettes, soft fabrics and precise cuts are designed to move with the body rather than define its movement. Bringing the same styles from the campaign to the stage makes this idea tangible. At Clärchens Ballhaus, HANRO carried it one step further, presenting “Soft Motion” as an artistic experience shaped by fashion, music and dance.
