The British Hit Paris This Weekend!

The UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT) has confirmed that 85 UK companies will be showing at over 24 different tradeshows and showrooms during Paris Men’s, Women’s Swimwear and Pre-collections Fashion Week from 19 to 27 June 2024 including a good number of swimwear, beachwear, athleisure brands.

The majority of the UK’s swimwear, beachwear and athleisure collections can be seen at Splash!Paris and Claret Showroom. Although, a number of other UK companies will be at the multi-brand showrooms confirmed in the French capital a month before the opening of the Paris 2024 Olympics. Whilst the majority of the UK swimwear and beachwear brands have remained faithful to Paris this season, several of Paris’s traditional multi-brand showrooms have chosen to pause their activities in Paris until the September edition of Paris Women’s Fashion Week and Splash. This is mainly over concerns of the cost of space and accommodation in the run up to the Olympics.

Splash!Paris starting today and running to Saturday evening at Avenue Gabriel will be home to most of the UK’s swimwear and beachwear brands, including  Alexandra Miro’s luxury swim and resort collection, Asceno London’s bikinis and one-pieces in double-lined fabric, and Casa Raki, a small independent boutique brand designed in London and made ethically in Portugal. Heidi Klein is buyers’ firm favourite with its London-inspired swimwear, beach, travel and resortwear, as is Paolita with her range of colourful and vibrant prints for swimwear, resortwear and ready-to-wear.

For those looking beyond swim and beachwear, Juliet Dunn will be showing Indian-inspired prints and embroidery in both kaftans and ready-to-wear, while Pink City Prints will be showing Indian prints in a combination of daywear and beachwear. Talis Chains will be offering sunglass chains and jewellery for the beach and Studio Thirteen, the London-based international designer fashion showroom, agency and distribution company, will be representing some of the fastest growing and most commercially successful fashion lines from the UK and beyond.

Outside Splash!Paris, there are several interesting athleisure and sportswear collections as well as jewellery and accessories at a number of showrooms. On the Island will be showing statement pieces at Arddun Agency at Place des Vosges, to take customers from summer in the city to the beach with swimwear, kaftans, versatile beach-to-city separates and silk dresses.

Torsa will be debuting at MAN Paris  with a men’s athleisure collection sustainably crafted in Portugal using technical textiles to give a clean Scandinavian look and a comfortable training session. Sandralexander will be showing jewellery inspired by nature and crafted by artisans at the Jewellery Showroom.

Paul Alger MBE, international business director at UKFT said:

Clearly, this is a smaller showing in Paris this June because of the Olympics. But our UKFT Brits in Paris map includes some really exciting British swim, beach and athleisure brands who cannot wait until September to show buyers their SS25 collections”.
