CORIN RAISES THE BAR WITH THE ‘PERFECT BRA’

by Underlines

Dynamic development (R & D), investment in technologies and industry 4.0 (robotics) and innovation means that Polish lingerie brand, Corin, is ensuring that the ‘Perfect Bra’ is a reality.

The expansion of Corin’s export and domestic sales can be largely attributed to the investment in and expansion of knowledge through R & D. The ultimate objective is to design bras that equally allocate pressure on all areas of the breast, chest and back.

Science, medicine and robotics work hand in hand!

Obtaining the optimal shape of a bra is the project fuelled by passion for Corin employing their R & D team with engineers and doctors, using thermal imaging cameras and state-of-the-art computer simulation programs (incredibly the same devices and software for construction of aircraft engines!).

Utilizing all the skills at their disposal Corin has completed an 18-month project with the Lodz University of Technology and the Polish Mother’s Heath Centre Hospital in Lodz, working with women of all ages, sizes and body types.

The ‘Perfect Bra’ Project

The culmination of this research initiative is the integration of bra design with optimal health benefits of comfort combined with aesthetics and craftsmanship. The bras reflect current fashion trends and even in light materials are functional and comfortable.

Enhancing lingerie production technology

The unique, ultra-light and breathable Virginia Spacer 3D bra (17871) which delivers on its promises, has been developed using innovative technology by the R & D Department. Leading the way globally with 3-D spacer cups adapting to the shape of the breasts with the necessary support – imperceptible, comfortable and very light with the important wearer benefits – friendly for sensitive or diseased breasts.

Investment at Corin

Further R & D projects and with the aid of European Union funds has meant that Corin has expanded its production department (new machines and a special machine for thermal fabric forming which has led to their own dedicated moulding department).

With high temperatures, delicate, appropriate materials can be fashioned with no seams but still possess the anatomical and natural shape ensuring exceptional wearer comfort. Modern materials selected demonstrate durability, resistance to melting and the ability to retain their patterns.

Innovation – Gisele (30725) – Stamp of Approval

Now being implemented into continuous production is Gisele – an innovative bra with cups fitting perfectly to the breasts, supporting them with a natural look – very light, soft and pleasant to the touch. The cups using new technology are seamless, made of stable embroidery that has been thermally formed and already has been confirmed for innovation by the Polish Scientific and Technical Society.

Robotics and efficiency

In line with Industry 4.0 (robotics) Corin’s cutting department is automated with cutting device, increasing the efficiency of production process and enabling the company’s market competitiveness. Optimisation of production costs, high cutting speeds (shortens by approximately 20%), stabilisation of the fabric (by approximately 50%) and quality of finished products are all benefits which increase output and minimise raw materials losses.
