Coco de Mer has launched a new pop-up boutique in Knightsbridge. The luxury lingerie brand’s new boutique is at 24A Motcomb Street and will be running until at least March 1st. As well as its world class lingerie and erotic products and gifts, the new outlet will house Coco de Mer’s famous Salons on improving sexual wellness.
Codo de Mer switched to a global digital first strategy last year – moving to a new Primrose Hill headquarters and private shopping space. Since then sales shot up by 50%, with a fivefold increase in the size of its wholesale division and a 45% surge in international stockists.
Celebrity collaborations with stars such as Helena Christensen and Pamela Anderson have powered the brand forward globally. Coco de Mer owner and chief executive Lucy Litwack said she was excited to be back on the High Street in time for Valentine’s.
The fresh focus on becoming a truly global brand with a digital first strategy has really worked for us over the last year in boosting sales and profits.
But I have bricks and mortar retailing in my blood and I was so excited by the idea of showcasing our beautiful lingerie and gifting in a location as wonderful as Motcomb Street. We are there until at least the start of March and have the option to stay for longer.
We know that our customers love the personal shopping experience and hopefully they will see how important it is to have an independently owned luxury retailer offering something unique and completely different to the High Street chains at such an iconic location.”
The shop windows are being hand painted by Sarah Peters, co-founder at Studio Braemar – well-known for creating bespoke shopfronts at boutiques across the West End.
Flowers arrangements are being designed by Delta of Venus – which provide bespoke displays for businesses.
Litwack added: “I love the fact that we are three female owned independent businesses supporting each other.”
