The UK’s two leading online hosiery retailers, MyTights.com and TightsPlease.co.uk are uniting assets, it has been announced earlier today. Whilst the brands will remain distinct, behind the scenes both will operate from MyTights.com’s London offices and trade from the slick MyTights.com trading platform, which will guarantee smooth working relations with trading partners as well as the best customer purchasing experience.
Bobbie Bhogal, director of TightsPlease.co.uk, has taken a 75% stake in the overall business and brings with him his considerable track record and vast experience within the online marketplace. Laura Godsal, MyTights.com founder, will be the MD of the joint business and oversee both brands.
Godsal explains the reasons for the merger: “TightsPlease.co.uk was keen to access MyTights.com’s efficient back-office systems, same-day delivery London service and product expertise. This move really is tremendously exciting. Bobbie’s experience as well as access to his group’s resources will enable us to boost all facets of our business and allow us to leverage our extensive combined databases.”
In the near future consumers will see increasing brand differentiation between MyTights.com and TightsPlease.co.uk, with each looking to target different market sectors and offering an increased choice of products to consumers both in the UK and overseas.
