Meméme is an innovative lingerie brand founded in 2019 by Ukranian businessman and entrepreneur, Vladislav Guristrimba. Meméme underwear is unique because it’s a combination of everyday comfort and beautiful designs that bring emotions. Every morning a woman can pick up a model which suits her mood – wearable, comfortable and practical art!
The style is young and vivacious but it hasn’t been an easy route to market with 2 years of COVID rapidly followed by the outbreak of war but the team behind the brand developed the presence of the brand far outside Ukraine (to some 50 countries). The company also donates to the HelpUkraine Center (headed up by Vladislav Guristrimba). It has been an ‘eventful’ few years with the closure of their factory at the beginning of the War and and a whole new commercial e-site in Meméme USA. Guristrimba has been active from the start in his efforts and ability to help Ukranians leave their homeland to go primarily to Poland.
And despite all the setbacks, the apparently simplistic but innovative approach to market offering only two types of panties – briefs and thongs – which are then developed with whimsical, fun and striking prints created by a team of freelance designers. Clearly the company is not based around profit at the moment – proceeds after production all go to support Ukraine. For brand enquiries contact Angelina Herasymenko on anhelinaherasimenko@knu.ua. This is definitely fashion with a conscience!
Vladislav’s idea nd project is to unite famous pop art and street art artists from Miami and the USA painting pictures in their own style on the Ukranian theme and their interpretation of it: after which there will be a charity auction of the actual paintings.
Also based on these paintings, there will be a launch of a lingerie campaign with these designs and contributions to the fund. Although the operation is based in the USA, anyone is welcome to lend their support as Vlad’s ambitious aim is to raise US$1,000,000 in three months. You can reach Vlad on email v.guristrimba@mememe.fashion about the Art Charity Project.
And here is a very relatable fact – the name of the company – with 5 children Vlad says when they want something it is me, me, me!
