For the coming season, Opaak has been working on new designs that are shaping up to welcome a new chapter of positive energy. The hues of Tech Compose embrace the darkest hour of the night with Pitch Black as the first instalment, followed by Dawn, symbolising the colour of the moment when the night blends into the street lights welcoming the morning.
Tech Compose sticks to Opaak’s idea to create bodywear at the crossroads of chic and casual while offering technical function thanks to high-performance materials. The sporty couture of the technical mesh in combination with recycled power mesh lends each bodywear item the sleek and streamlined attitude of a high-design power look.
Ease is about letting go, connecting to what matters and feels good, trusting in what is given to us and inviting body and soul to let go of the pace and begin a new chapter with ease. The Ease collection blends supple and caressing bodywear designs that slip easily into daytime looks without foregoing their innate seductive elegance. A desire to surprise and seduce was manifested in the choice of fabrics that focus on a heightened sensory appeal.
The creative team carefully selected a luxurious fine micro modal rip sourced from Italy and made on an ecologically compatible and environmentally friendly process. To contrast with the casual touch of the modal rip, Opaak added a dash of seduction with organically shaped lace sourced from Germany that plays with the graphical character proclaimed in all Opaak collections. For this collection, the brand decided to use deadstock lace material which is hand-cut in liquid shapes.
Longing for calmness and natural connection, the Essence Line is inspired by traces of sand. With silhouettes playing between opaque and transparent, Opaak refers to sand as a finite natural resource transformed into clear glass. The carefully curated product range includes a wider spectrum of body shapes with wireless spacer bras and wireless long-line bras up to cup size F in Bleached Sand and Volcano Black. The lightweight lingerie collection is manufactured from an eco-friendly produced Italian power mesh derived from regenerated post-industrial raw material, and each puristic style is embellished with a linear elastic band for a characteristic graphic finish.
Perforation Couture is Opaak’s signature collection and represents the idea of crafting contemporary bodywear through structure. As in every range, the combination of fabric technology and athleisure flows together in each puristic style. The main material is a bonded perforated micro jersey easily compared to neoprene and has a gentle shapewear effect suited for supportive bodywear and big cup sizes. Perforation couture is combined with Opaak’s standard recycled power mesh which provides a medium shapewear effect for a soft and enveloping feel.
The Graphic Lace Collection is the softest and most ornamental of all Opaak ranges. The hard codes of black and white break with the corsetry inspired design. Sophisticated and comfortable, the material is made of a delicate recycled non-floral eco-lace produced from post-industrial waste. Opaak’s certified Italian supplier operates with low water use and runs the production facility with solar energy to reduce CO2 emissions. As in all Opaak collections, the brief and body gussets are carefully sourced from GOTS certified organic cotton.
