Penn Textile Solutions/Penn Italia, international company producing and developing innovative fabrics through warp and weft knitting technologies, Tessitura Colombo Antonio, famous for the processing of lace and ribbons dedicated to the world of corsetry, and Elastici Besana, specialised in the production of narrow elastic for corsetry and underwear, have been working together to expand the frontiers of sustainable manufacture practices. The result is ECONNECTION, a new set of eco high tech innovations delivering a responsibility concept, including also end of life.
The collection offers 7 knitted stretch fabrics by Penn Textile Solutions/Penn Italia, 3 laces by Tessitura Colombo Antonio, and 3 functional bands by Elastici Besana. The responsible fabrics are made using a new generation of ingredients, such as ROICA™ V550 made by leading fibre manufacturer Asahi Kasei, a premium sustainable stretch yarn that breaks down at the end of life without releasing harmful substances in the environment, as well as Amni Soul Eco®, the world’s first polyamide 6.6 yarn biodegradable in anaerobic conditions. This smart project highlights the importance of companies working together and sharing their know-how, facilitating the creation of new products with a higher level of innovation, technology and performance.
