Yoshimasa Orimono Co. launches new eco-friendly “NecoS” silk

NecoS was developed by Yoshimasa Orimono Co. Ltd, Japan’s HamaChirimen silk crepe manufacturer. Silk fabric is manufactured by using the technique called degumming to remove sericin, a silk thread’s natural gum-coating and protective molecular. Yoshimasa Orimono succeeded to develop an industrial organic silk production methods which do not require chemical agents throughout the process. The organic silk fabric made with this innovative degumming method is named NecoS, which will lead to further environmental protection and consumer safety and security.
