Maryan Beachwear Group switches production to eco sewing threads

by Underlines

The Maryan Beachwear Group announces it is switching its production to eco threads starting with the 2022 preview Maryan Mehlhorn, Lidea and Charmline collections. All test series have been successfully completed so that the swimwear range can be converted to sustainable eco threads, made from post-consumer waste (especially PET bottles) as well as surplus from pre-consumer production.

“The demands on the qualities of sewing threads in swimwear are extremely high. Durability of seams and comfort are essential. With the switch to eco sewing threads we are consciously taking another step towards sustainable product components. We are actively implementing step by step what is technically possible without compromising on fit and quality. It is a question of attitude and not of economic efficiency, but I believe that these investments will pay for themselves in the long run,” says Maya Mehlhorn, CEO of the maryan beachwear group.
