London Swimwear Show 2020 cancelled

by Underlines

This year’s edition of the London Swimwear Show (scheduled for 19-21 July) has been cancelled and the next event will take place in July 2021. Speaking on the move, Richard Barnes of organisers, Alba Associates, said: “We have been in lengthy discussion with ETC Venues due to the current crisis and with continuous updates and guidance from the Government on health and safety, social distancing and public events in general.

“As a result of this we were never in a position to confirm, cancel or postpone the event until we had a clearer situation. As it stands the situation is changing daily and although the venue is expecting to re-open on the 4th July we cannot see how we can proceed with this show in a safe and responsible manner for both our exhibiting brands and personnel and visitors to the Show.

“Therefore it is with great regret that we have had to postpone the event until July 2021. Hopefully by then we can all be back to some sort of normality and can showcase our wonderful Swim collections.  This Show was first organised by my late father since 2008 running every summer since so it was cancelling the Show was the last thing we wanted to do but ultimately it is the only correct and safe course of action.”
