Simone Pérèle makes a statement this Autumn/Winter 2020 with the ‘nouvelles héroines’ campaign, which pays tribute to today’s touching and charismatic women. Inspired by twinkling stars, the Hypnose Céleste collection embodies a new femininity as Simone Pérèle welcomes Maud Friocourt as Art Director.
Mathieu Grodner, Managing Director, asserts that “Maud truly understands the brand and the delicate balance between modernity and history. She came with her expertise and gave a modern touch, a coherence to the brand with her lingerie and swimwear collections. Her personality and passion give us a brand new perspective: great precision, a critical eye, detail and sense of fashion, with a Simone Pérèle twist.”
Shot by the fashion photographer Jan Welters, the images embody the new direction the collections have been taking and the brand’s strong will to reinvent itself. “I’ve always loved Jan’s work, he has the ability to find the perfect balance between glamor and touching when he photographs women,” said Maud.
“It’s exactly what we wanted for the brand: modernity but also and most importantly authenticity and meaning. Simone Pérèle is a legendary brand that deserves more than a pretty brand image, we want to create emotion to lean into a vision. Jan immediately accepted the ‘nouvelles héroines’ challenge. We wanted to see all of it: their weaknesses and their strengths, their flaws, their beauty and their paradoxes. His unique use of black and white gives a depth to his natural portraits that suggest strength and sensitivity.”
Discover Orphée, a name that speaks for itself… Orphée revisits a vintage style with its sophisticated style and exalted silhouette, inspired by a historical piece, ‘Poivre’, designed by Simone Pérèle herself in 1970. Swiss embroideries with touches of satin, a precious theme and exquisite details for a retro chic look. Asta, a new graphic lace, inspired by the 1970s is underlined by an ethereal elastic band for a simple and modern look. Cométe is the brand’s new delicate and discrete asset. Subtle like a constellation, this lace is quite versatile as it can be highly fashionable with its full lace body, or invisible with its stitch-free moulded bra.
Cassiopée is an intertwining of delicacy, transparency and audacity. Maud Friocourt explains: “We wanted a creative spark, innovation, something that would catch the eye, very chic. We were inspired by a high fashion embroidery. The navy blue and the black work well together giving it a delicate modernity.” True fashion must-haves, the body and triangle bra are the two favorites of this collection. Last but not least, rediscover the delicate silk and the timeless cut of Dream and Nocturne in Victoria pink for a vintage feel, while Satin Secrets merges nocturnal seduction and daily elegance with pieces that can also be worn as regular clothing.
