Art, Activism and After Dark Glamour: HARTISWIM IN MIAMI

by Underlines

British luxury swimwear label HartiSWIM captivated audiences at Miami Swim Week The Shows 2026 with its
immersive runway experience, ‘Barbados After Dark’, transforming the Mondrian South Beach into a vibrant celebration of fashion, art, music and ocean conservation.

HartiSWIM Runway Show at Miami Swim Week: The Shows 2026 Director Tessa Hartmann CBE and contemporaryThe family-run British brand, founded by Creative  artist Sascha “Harti” Hartmann, presented a collection inspired by the colours, energy and beauty of Barbados. Drawing from three original crylic paintings created by Harti – Sandy Lane,
Bathsheba Bay and Saint James, the collection showcased the label’s signature fusion of earable pop art and sustainable luxury.

More than a runway presentation, ‘Barbados After Dark’ unfolded as a multi-sensory theatrical experience. Models wearing HartiSWIM’s sustainable swimwear, menswear and resort collections moved through an evocative landscape of music, storytelling and visual artistry.

The collection featured bold pop-art prints, vibrant Caribbean-inspired colour palettes and sculptural silhouettes, all crafted using responsibly sourced materials and produced in Italy. New for 2026 were HartiSWIM’s bespoke
Scottish cashmere wraps, crafted in Scotland and designed on a grand scale reminiscent of the world’s most coveted luxury shawls. Sumptuously soft and effortlessly chic, they offered the perfect finishing touch for the modern siren, equally at
home poolside in Barbados as they are at an elegant evening soirée.

The audience was also introduced to Harti Atelier, the brand’s couture division, which showcased a series of handcrafted statement pieces. Highlights included feather-trimmed gowns, sequined resortwear and the debut of Harti’s first millinery collection. The dramatic pale pink ostrich feather creation quickly became one of the evening’s most talkedabout moments.

Sustainability remained central to the collection. The swimwear was produced using luxurious recycled fibres derived from
reclaimed plastic waste, reinforcing the brand’s long-standing commitment to conscious design and its “buy better, buy less” philosophy. Through every look, HartiSWIM continued to champion the message that glamour and environmental responsibility can coexist beautifully.

Music played a defining role throughout the evening. The runway was accompanied by an original soundtrack composed exclusively for the show by H Collective, the family’s creative music collective. The score culminated in a live performance of ‘Free The Blue’ by singer Tallia Storm (daughter of Tessa and Sascha), produced by Zacapo, their son and mixed by
Mike Seaberg of Jaycen Joshua Studios in Los Angeles. The performance underscored the brand’s ongoing mission to use fashion, music and art as vehicles for ocean conservation awareness.

Diversity and inclusivity remained a defining feature of the presentation. Models of different ages, backgrounds and body types took to the runway, united by HartiSWIM’s belief that confidence, individuality and glamour belong to everyone.
