With the retail sector in the midst of significant changes, luxury lingerie designer Ayten Gasson has adapted their high street presence to ensure they continue to meet the future needs of their customers.

Having expanded into Brighton’s creative retail quarter, Hanningtons Lane, in 2019, Ayten Gasson has continued to grow throughout the pandemic, increasing their team and expanding their core range to meet demand. With the role of physical shops changing and the rise of purposeful consumption, Ayten Gasson has further increased their specialist design team and created a dedicated custom design service.

The boutique will only be available by appointment from Monday to Thursday, where a dedicated member of staff will take a customer through the design process, from selecting fabric, lace options to specific customisation requirements.  Personal fitting services and follow-up will also be an integrated part of the service.  From Friday to Sunday the boutique will be open without appointment to allow customers to browse and purchase from the Ayten Gasson core ranges.

Designer Ayten Gasson says: “Since launching the brand in 2005 we have seen first-hand the changes to the retail sector.  It is important for us to maintain our physical presence on the high street but increasingly customers are requesting bespoke, unique pieces they can cherish for many years, and this is a way to offer that service.”
Ayten Gasson launched her ethical lingerie brand in Brighton in 2005 ahead of the trend and this latest announcement ensures she continues to put sustainability and the celebration of traditional sewing skills at the heart of her business. Fabric, lace and haberdashery is procured from vintage sources, such as the old lace mills in Nottingham and the antique markets of Lille, whilst modern cotton lace is sourced from within the UK to support the continuation of textile manufacturing.  In addition, Ayten Gasson uses ethical fabrics such as organic bamboo, organic cotton, model (beach wood) and cruelty-free peace silk throughout their collections.
