September 2024 – Nudea announces a new charity initiative with UK-based charity, Smalls for All to introduce ‘Invisible Underwear’, a mechanism where Nudea customers can add a donation to the charity at checkout. The function to add an invisible pair of underwear to your order will allow people to donate £2 directly to Smalls for All to fund their work collecting and donating underwear to those in need in the UK and Africa.
Smalls for All is a charity set up by founder Maria Macnamara who visited Ethiopia to volunteer at an orphanage only to find that many of the children and adults had no underwear. On returning home she couldn’t stop thinking about them so she decided to take action. With plans to collect 2,000 pairs to send over to Africa, Maria was shocked when by the end of the year she had received over 6,000 and they just kept coming. So in August 2010 she registered as a charity which today supports adults and children in both Africa and the UK. In 2019, the charity, who have collected over two million pairs of underwear to date, changed their constitution to also support those in the UK who have a need for underwear.
