Curve New York cancels September show and announces virtual edition

by Underlines

Intimate and swimwear trade show Curve has cancelled the Curve New York event due to take place in September. The uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic remains unclear, and with border restrictions and possible quarantine requirements, Curve organisers believe they have an ethical responsibility to cancel the Curve NY show. “Every day is a new day in this new world and we didn’t feel that we would be secure enough to organize a show in New York this September, so we made the difficult decision to cancel,” Raphael Camp, chief executive officer of Eurovet Americas, told WWD. “This was a very difficult decision to make, however the safety and health of our community comes first.”

In lieu of the event, Curve has announced an extended virtual show, Curve Connect (September 13 – 25), helping the industry through these recent market challenges. The focus will be to provide a platform where brand representatives and specialty stores owners can meet, offer a place to preview an international mix of the best lingerie collections,  and provide daily webinars and panels about the intimate apparel industry. More updates will be announced in the coming weeks.
