WUKA, the pioneering reusable period wear brand, has launched stunning new full body swimsuits as part of its popular period swimwear collection.  After the success of the period bikini and high waist swim briefs earlier this summer, the period positive brand is launching flattering one piece swimsuits in four gorgeous new shades: opulent purple, tennis green, sapphire blue and deep pink. The new collection is all waterproof, will protect against UV50+ rays and anti-chlorine to prevent fading and prolong their use. A special aquaphobic outer material is waterproof and keeps pool water out, whilst the highly absorbent built in gusset on the inside, absorbs your flow immediately and locks it in so it can’t seep out.

To celebrate the launch, WUKA has partnered with surf therapy charity The Wave Project and pledges to donate 1% of all sales from the new period swimwear collection to support the charity’s efforts.

WUKA Swimwear completely replaces pads and tampons, is sustainably produced, and adapts to growing bodies, expanding up to three sizes thereby eliminating the need to purchase new sizes so frequently and reducing waste and CO2 emissions. As such, this game-changing innovation within a growing period category will empower the next generation of change-makers to lean into their desire to be less wasteful and help eco- and value-conscious girls and parents to adopt slow-fashion behaviours.

The brand previously operating and trading direct to consumer, attended INDX at the beginning of the month to initiate wholesale interest.

Results of a survey conducted by WUKA* revealed that 71% of women have taken the contraceptive pill in order to skip a period ahead of a holiday. WUKA’s latest collection of brightly coloured and flattering style swimsuits aim to remove yet another barrier faced by many women and girls on their period.
