North Sails has partnered with Coral Gardeners to launch a capsule collection of beachwear which will help to regenerate the world’s dying coral reefs.
North Sails x Coral Gardeners capsule collection is made with organically cultivated and lower-carbon materials. It gives consumers the opportunity to adopt a coral, and 20% of net sales go directly to Coral Gardeners to support its goal of planting one million corals by 2025.
The collection takes inspiration from the reefs they are trying to save, consisting of:
- Shorts and swimsuits: made from recycled polyamide that has been salvaged from offcuts recovered from the manufacturing process
- Hats and totes: made from 100% naturally cultivated cotton without the use of synthetic agricultural chemicals, whilst also using water efficiently and promoting high social and working standards for farmers
- Kaftans and sarongs: made from 100% recycled polyester
North Sails has been chosen to showcase at the United Nations headquarters in New York on 8th June, as part of their UN World Ocean Day installation – to highlight brands committed to ocean conservation
