Brun et Noir Hosiery caters to ‘women of colour’ by delivering a product that compliments the different shades of brown and makes the colour ‘nude’ an inclusive concept for darker skin tones. Catering to Asian, African, Caribbean and mixed race skin tones, the brand spent three years visiting different factories in the UK, trialling shades and textures before deciding on a range of six colours: sand, caramel, clay, chestnut, cocoa and coffee.
“The frustration of finding no ‘match’, prompted me to investigate what I believed to be a gap in the market,” said Buki Anthony, Brun et Noir founder. “After establishing I wasn’t alone in my need for such a product, in late December 2010 the concept of Brun et Noir Hosiery was born.”
Brun et Noir tights are made in the UK using the best quality nylon and LYCRA®, and feature a comfort waistband and reinforced brief.
