Moda, the UK’s national lingerie and swimwear trade show, kicks off this Sunday (9th August). The LYCRA® fibre brand is for the sixth time the headline sponsor of the event and has their own showcase in the Plaza of Hall 17 with trend forum and products from partner brands such as Panache, Miraclesuit, Seaspray, Gottex and Freya Swim.
This year the main catwalk show will be centred around the INVISTA 2016 trends (seven key directions – Afro pictured here) bringing to life innovations and developments in fabric and finished swimwear and undergarments. Visitors can also visit the LYCRA® stand to see a visual demonstration of the durability of suits that have LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™.
Penny Robinson of Moda commented: “The LYCRA® involvement in the show is also an incredible endorsement, and cements our status as a truly key platform for UK and international labels alike. We are looking forward to seeing the brand’s SS16 trends brought to life on the lingerie and swimwear catwalk this season, and also in a dedicated visual display area at the show, the perfect inspiration for brands and buyers alike.”
Moda brings together a comprehensive display of labels from all around the world but plenty of home-grown talent too with brands such as Tallulah Love showing this season. The SS2016 collection is inspired by English country gardens in a bouquet of different blues as well as soft sage and green. Designer, Michelle Taylor, brings her signature style of sophisticated layering of lace, satin and mesh and introduces cotton broderie anglaise trim (on Stand C19).
More ultra feminine styles can also be seen at the Patricia Eve (stand B14) with French label, Millesia, presenting its SS2016 collections.
