Lauma has announced its change of name to European Lingerie Collection, reflecting the rapid development of the group and its ambitious global growth strategy.
The most recent acquisition of Felina International AG in June this year, the group has expanded activities for development, manufacture and marketing of underwear with a vertically integrated structure. This acquisition marks only the latest phrase of expansion following on from other acquisitions in the lingerie sector (French lace manufacturer, Desseilles Textiles in 2006; Italian embroidery house, Emme in 2011 and German company, Elastic Textile Europe in 2014). It has become a force to be reckoned with in the women’s underwear sector in Europe. There is also a new group and a strong management team to encourage further added value creation for all business stakeholders.
The European Lingerie Collection produces and distributes underwear through more than 5,000 outlets in Western European and other countries. The group operates in Latvia, Hungary and Germany with primary European sales markets in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Czech Republic and the Baltic States with Russia and the other CIS countries their primary Eastern European markets. Lauma Fabrics will be at the 3rd Lingerie Forum in Riga next month (25-26th October) alongside a wealth of other end undergarment manufacturers from Latvia.
