Launched in 2010, Canadian lingerie brand Fortnight focuses on everyday essentials that extend beyond the basic, offering classic and feminine styles distinguished by their character, craftsmanship and versatility. Founder and designer Christina Remenyi set out to create a line of lingerie that re-claimed the craft of classic lingerie making for women of diverse shapes and sizes. Starting out as a basement business, the brand is now available in over 65 boutiques internationally including Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s and Anthropologie, with each piece still carefully crafted in Toronto by a team of skilled craftswomen.
Always in search of the finest fabrics and flawless fit, this season sees the addition of a bold botanical scalloped lace found in the Ivy group, the introduction of a loungewear range comprised of cropped high waist palazzo pant and ¾ length kimono sleeve robe, as well as the addition of four new sizes (36E, 34F, 30 and 32G) to the bestselling wire-free Luna Longline bra. The Autumn/Winter 2017 colour palette includes neutral Fawn, a smoky grey/mauve called Dusk, Cyprus green and deep Navy.
“The intimacy women have with their undergarments is truly unique; it’s a bond that inspires us to create pieces that are honest, meaningful, and made to last. Our hope is to revitalize the classic beauty of lingerie by working with traditional techniques and iconic shapes but modernizing them, creating pieces that fuse function and femininity without compromising style and substance,” she says.
