Ender Legard has specialised in the design and development of unique corsetry-based shapewear undergarments since 2006. Currently stocked by the most exclusive luxury department stores and online retailers across the world such as Harrods, Barneys New York, Harvey Nichols (Istanbul and Riyadh), Browns Fashion, Net-a-Porter and Luisa Via Roma, the brand is endorsed by celebrities like Celine Dion, Sarah Jessica Parker and Carrie Ann Inaba.
Founded by Asia Smaga with the encouragement of Browns Fashion founder Joan Burstein, who spotted her talent at a bridal exhibition in 2003 and encouraged her to develop a collection of shapewear to be worn with backless and plunge-neck wedding dresses, Ender Legard was an immediate success at Browns Bride. While much of the company’s growth to date has been organic, the launch of Ender Legard’s debut lingerie collection at the Salon International de la Lingerie signifies the label’s intention to grow internationally.
“The Autumn Winter 2015/16 lingerie collection redefines the meaning of ‘Affordable Luxury’ by matching high-end quality of fabrics with European design and production skills for undergarments that are exceptionally comfortable and refreshingly stylish in their simplicity,” said Creative Director Asia Smaga.
Available from July, the 22-piece collection will also carry a breast cancer awareness label by UK charity Coppafeel! to remind women to check themselves regularly. Looking ahead, Ender Legard are currently working on their SS16 lingerie collection to be launched together with a new range of shapewear garments, complimenting the brand’s signature collection of silk-based shapewear.
