Swimwear Barcelona will bring together more than 40 exhibiting companies and over 100 collections for Spring/Summer 2028 on September 30th and October 1st at the World Trade Center Barcelona.

Barcelona continues to strengthen its role as one of Europe’s leading destinations for the textile and fashion industry thanks to its industrial heritage, international connectivity, trade fair infrastructure and strong links to design and Mediterranean lifestyle.

Within this context, Swimwear Barcelona will celebrate its fifth edition on September 30th and October 1st, bringing together more than 40 exhibiting companies and over 100 collections of fabrics, trims and accessories specialised in swimwear, beachwear and sportswear for the Spring/Summer 2028 season.

Held at the World Trade Center Barcelona, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, the event continues to establish itself as a specialised European meeting point for brands, manufacturers, designers, buyers and sourcing professionals looking for innovation, trends and new business opportunities.

Barcelona offers a strategic environment for the textile industry. Catalonia has historically been Spain’s leading textile hub and today remains one of Southern Europe’s most active ecosystems in fashion design, manufacturing and development, with an increasing focus on sustainability, circular economy and textile innovation.

The city also benefits from direct air connections with Europe’s main capitals, one of the Mediterranean’s most important commercial ports and high-speed rail links with France and other European markets, all of which reinforce its appeal for international exhibitors and buyers.

Swimwear Barcelona will also host a programme of conferences, workshops and panel discussions focused on sustainability, Artificial Intelligence applied to fashion and emerging consumer trends.

Barcelona naturally combines creativity, business and international projection. Swimwear Barcelona reflects that identity through a professional and highly specialised environment designed to connect the textile industry with the opportunities of the future.”
Xavier Llamas, director of Swimwear Barcelona
