Gran Canaria Swim Week catwalk highlights

The 2020 edition of Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida has come to an end after launching a new hybrid professional format and new branding. Sustainability was also a main pillar in this edition, with many innovative and environmentally friendly proposals presented. Young Canary designers as well as renowned brands showed their creations, including Guillermina Baeza, TCN, Dolores Cortés and Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada. The show’s hybrid format combined a live audience with online broadcasting of the fashion shows, reaching up to 50.000 viewers compared to last year’s 7.952 users.

Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida reinforced its compromise with the swim fashion industry with three awards that are focused on increasing the visibility of the designers, as well as rewarding the constant learning and growth of the brands that participate on the show. The three winners were Laut Apparel (Best Emerging Collection), All That She Loves (Best Sustainable Collection) and Palmas y Aurelia Gil (Best Collection).
