The CALIDA Spring/Summer 2020 collection was inspired by Italy’s natural beauty. Maritime prints meet gelato-inspired shades and broderie anglaise, radiating pure joie de vivre and that special summer feeling. The daywear and sleepwear styles as well as the loungewear collection combine natural, sustainably manufactured, high-quality materials with innovative design and functional properties. An increasing number of styles have also been awarded the MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® certification.
Cassis, neo mint and blush shades dominate the colour palette for the women’s collection, while shades of blue and red dominate the menswear. Yellow appears as a top colour trend in various delivery dates and pops ups in the form of shades such as mango or pastel yellow for women or bright, sunny versions for men. The Basic lines have been supplemented with sophisticated colour updates which flatter the complexion and also impress with their finest quality materials, such as SUPIMA® cotton or Merino wool and silk blends.
Once again the lines between daywear, sleepwear and loungewear are becoming blurred, and CALIDA has created a wide range of styles that are ideal as underwear, as outerwear for day-to-day life or for relaxing at home. As a result, CALIDA offers retailers plenty of additional options for cross-selling and presentation. In line with the collection’s theme, ornamental ceramic prints, marine motifs and Vichy prints dominate the seasonal series and all of the tops are designed to match the various pant prints over all of the delivery dates, enabling retailers to create new, matching styles at the POS.
Already familiar from their use in bras, the spacer materials are now also found in loungewear. Cutting-edge three-layer spacer technology unites functionality with natural production, and the inner and outer layers are both made of natural fibres to ensure a comfortable feel. Joining the two is premium polyamide, creating a small cushion of air that results in an extra-soft feel and ensures breathability, moisture control and temperature regulation. The spacer technology is enhanced by a HEIQ Fresh function that makes the styles even more breathable, creating a feeling of freshness.
