Underlines Magazine is once again delighted to present some of the best designs from De Montfort University‘s BA (Honours) Contour Fashion degree course. This year saw a new approach with the selections from final year students centred around two external client design projects for H&M and Gossard.
For the H&M project students were asked to design an underwear collection suitable for commercial consideration, including bra and briefs in sizes 12 and 18 aimed at everyday wear in either a balconette or T-shirt bra style. The collections should reflect the distinctive H&M handwriting of fashion forward, affordable and with an environmental consciousness.
The second brief was an aesthetic foundation to design a potential luxury brand for Gossard retaining the brand’s signature of sumptuous, glamorous and sensual lingerie with the proviso of an ensemble to include a bra, brief and 3rd element (perhaps waspie, negligee, suspender etc). A ‘Glamourzonian Gossard’ which will would then be featured as part of a new marketing launch in London in June 2016.
These designs can also be seen at Moda Lingerie & Swimwear Exhibition this month at the NEC in Birmingham and will be showcased at the Graduate Show on 13th June 2016.
