January 2016 saw The Lingerie Edit celebrate another successful season, showing the best of AW16 lingerie, lounge and swimwear collections at The Savoy Hotel in London. Buyers from both the UK and international stores visited the show, including Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Fenwick, Dolci Follie and Coco de Mer.
As usual, visiting buyers and press were asked to vote for their favourite brand and for the third time Loveday London claimed the ‘Best Brand’ title. A regular exhibitor at TLE, Louisa Loveday said: “The Lingerie Edit is a must for any new or established brand if they want to build long-lasting relationships with key accounts. The intimate environment allows us to take our time when talking through the collections with buyers. Loveday London relies on the show for its accessibly and feels right at home within the luxury of the stunning Savoy Hotel.”
New brands exhibiting in the Atelier were given the opportunity to claim the APM Atelier Award, picked up by London-based luxury lingerie brand Fréolic, which will receive 6 months of top level training as a way of ‘fast tracking’ them into intimates trade success.
The Lingerie Edit organizers David Finlayson and Tamar Kendall were thrilled with the outcome and the long list of brands interested in exhibiting in July. Tamar comments: “It is a real pleasure to be supporting the UK and global lingerie industry in this way, and of course it’s vital to us that we continue to provide a platform in London – the fashion capital of the world! Thank you to everyone involved in this event, we can’t wait to welcome you all back in July.”
