After working together with British tailors for three years to create underwear made with the same care and attention as a bespoke suit, luxury mens underwear label Drake & Hutch are now launching their new Pima Cotton range through crowd-funding website Kickstarter. Founder Pete McGuinness explains the brand focused on three key areas for this new range: Fit, Fabric & Detail.
Drake & Hutch is the first brand in the world to offer underwear developed in collaboration with Jermyn St. Tailors, with a fit that prevents garment rise and bunching while the four piece contoured pouch supports without compressing. Pima cotton was chosen for its breathability and luxurious soft touch, combined with LYCRA® and complemented by a custom-made microfibre waistband with a silky feel.
With an array of details, perhaps the most striking is the hidden lining in the Pima Cotton range. Hand printed in London one meter at a time, this unique feature was influenced by the lining found on suit jackets – a new level of luxury in mens underwear. Drake & Hutch’s Kickstarter campaign will run for 30 days and deliveries will be made in April 2016 (for more information contact Pete McGuinness on peter@drakeandhutch.com)
