Since Beautiful Bottoms‘ launch‚ five years ago‚ Creative Directors Poppy Sexton-Wainwright and Lauren Skerritt have matured into sophisticated world travellers and the collection has developed along side them. In keeping with the brand’s evolution‚ Beautiful Bottoms is being rebranded ASCENO, a name the team feel is more in keeping with the energy and essence of their collections. A combination of their mothers’ maiden names‚ ASCENO reminds the two of Greek Goddesses and evokes thoughts of the sea‚ travel‚ femininity‚ and strength – all key attributes of the brand.
To ensure customers understand the re-brand and to prevent losing the existing customer base all branding will read ‘ASCENO BY BEAUTIFUL BOTTOMS’ for a transitional period, and a small brand story will be printed onto an additional swing tag. ASCENO will continue to be positioned in the market as an affordable premium brand with an emphasis on quality fabrics, dynamic digital prints, and effortless silhouettes.
For Spring/Summer 15‚ the designers were inspired by the Urban Landscape and created the perfect balance of items for a chic city break or a luxury exotic retreat. A plush palette of rose‚ sky blue‚ and mint green are paired alongside vibrant orange‚ turquoise‚ and lime, and digital prints range from abstract skyscrapers in untraditional repeats to kaleidoscopic florals‚ all expressed in whimsical colour combinations.
