A Night of Elegance and Celebration at Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje

by Underlines

As we hasten towards winter Underlines brings you a touch of summer relief in a review of the Tenerife Fashion Beach – report by Lupe Castro.

The open-air catwalk at Costa Adeje was a stunning celebration of fashion, set against the backdrop of the beach and under the Canarian sky. The evening was marked by vibrant collections, striking accessories, and a notable tribute to Maya Hansen’s 20-year legacy. Adding a unique touch to the event, the runway also featured four fresh faces from the Fresh Face casting held on Thursday at The Duke Shop. Over a hundred aspiring models attended, hoping for a chance to break into the fashion world, and these new talents brought a fresh energy and charm to the catwalk. The runway was a blend of local talent and global appeal, with each brand showcasing their latest creations in an atmosphere of excitement and elegance. A particularly delightful element was the collaboration with local accessory designers, who crafted pieces specifically to complement each collection. This beautiful partnership between creatives added a unique flair to the show, with accessories that seamlessly interpreted and “married” the designs they accompanied, creating a cohesive and harmonious visual story on the catwalk.

Arena Negra / NOK

Arena Negra, a part of the Tenerife Moda programme, dazzled with its 2025 collection “Three of Life,” celebrating the cultural significance of the coconut palm. The collection featured bikinis, one-pieces, and accessories for both men and women, crafted from innovative recycled polyester fabrics. Earthy tones like khaki green, brown, and yellow in shiny and ribbed textures gave a nod to nature’s palette. Complementing the looks, NOK’s ethno-chic jewellery brought a touch of artisanal craftsmanship, with maxi necklaces, earrings, and bracelets adorned with bronze, brass, pearls, and mother-of-pearl, drawing inspiration from African culture.

Diazar

Hailing from La Palma, Diazar’s “Siwa” collection was inspired by the mystical Siwa oasis in Egypt. With a focus on sustainable and eco-friendly elements, the collection stood out for its versatility and integration of local craftsmanship. Accessories from BAN Artesanía and leather goods by Juan Manuel Simón added a rich, earthy touch, while jewellery and accessories from Isla Bonita Moda members — Silvia Baly, Sara Luis Joyas, Marion Froehlich, and Julia Brito Complementos y Tocados — brought an elegant and artisanal feel. The mix of earrings, bracelets and brooches elevated each look, making them complete and cohesive.

AMA Studio

AMA Studio’s collection “Vacaciones en Mercurio” captivated with its minimalistic yet sophisticated designs. Playing with asymmetry and elegant details, the brand presented a palette of earthy tones and olive greens, with pieces that could transition effortlessly from beach to urban settings. Light tulle layers and draped elements created a sense of ethereal beauty, emphasising AMA’s signature style. A standout trend alert was the creative layering of one bikini set superimposed on another, allowing for sharper cuts and adding a bold, contemporary edge to the collection.

Bea de la Rosa

Bea de la Rosa made a welcome return to the runway after taking time off for family, and her presence was missed. Her latest collection, “Tecnoplégica,” explored the intersection of the digital and analog worlds, reflecting the designer’s contemplation of technological advancement. The collection brought back her signature use of vibrant colours and bold geometric lines, creating a dynamic conversation between the futuristic and the traditional. Accessories featured abstract and playful interpretations, embracing a retro yet modern aesthetic, making her comeback a vibrant celebration of her distinctive style.

Waiola / Pendientera

Waiola brought Cuban flair to the runway with “Ando a la My Love,” a vibrant collection reflecting the culture and spirit of Cuba. Rich, warm colours like yellows, oranges, and pinks, along with flowing ruffles, captured the island’s energy. The bold statement pieces from Pendientera’s jewellery line added an extra burst of tropical freshness, with neon and organic materials blending beautifully to complement the playful designs.

Ananas Wear / Handcrafted

Ananas Wear’s homage to the marine beauty of the Canarian reefs was embodied in their collection, combining sustainable practices with elegant swimwear designs. Handcrafted’s accessories, focusing on the natural beauty and empowerment of women, complemented the ocean-inspired pieces, bringing together sophistication and effortless charm.

Econaked

Econaked’s “Skin-and-Bones” collection stood out for its emphasis on sustainable materials and eco-friendly practices. With asymmetrical cuts and playful cutout designs, each piece told a story of self-love. The brand, which received the Best Sustainable Collection Award at Gran Canaria Swimwear Fashion Week, continues to set a benchmark for eco-conscious fashion. From plantable hang tags to solar-powered production, every detail echoed the brand’s commitment to the environment, making sustainability stylish and impactful.

Seco Seco / Roselinde

The brand Seco Seco’s “Zero Waste” collection celebrated boho-chic trends with a sustainable twist. Patchwork, knotting, and cutting techniques brought together an array of vibrant colours and textures, reminiscent of the rich flora and fauna of the Canary Islands. Roselinde’s bold, colourful jewellery line “Bohemian Sea” was a perfect complement, evoking a free-spirited, ocean-inspired feel.

Macaronesia

Macaronesia Swim brought its Lanzarote-inspired designs to the runway with the collection “Paraíso.” Bright colours, floral prints, and bold cuts were a tribute to the tropical beauty of the Canaries. The collection emphasised sustainable fashion, using recycled polyester, ensuring that every piece was both stylish and eco-friendly.

Macaronesia

Aurelia Gil / By Loleiro

In a powerful synergy, Aurelia Gil and By Loleiro presented “Amazonas,” a capsule collection embodying the strength of a warrior woman. With intricate draping, patchwork, and tropical embroidery, the pieces stood out for their sophistication. By Loleiro’s jewellery, with gold-plated pieces and natural stones, reinforced the theme of power and elegance, adding the final touch to each stunning ensemble.

Lava / Moly & Mikas

Lava’s collection “Agosto vaya, vaya!” was a nostalgic nod to the summers of the late 20th century, brimming with vibrant prints of local fauna. Designed for both men and women, the pieces brought joy and a sense of playful energy to the catwalk. Complementing the looks were artisan hats by Moly.co and stylish sunglasses by Mikas Sweden, creating a laid-back, beach-ready vibe.

Maya Hansen

The grand finale of the evening was Maya Hansen’s triumphant return to the runway, celebrating 20 years of groundbreaking fashion. Known for dressing icons like Lady Gaga and Shakira, Hansen presented a retrospective of her most iconic corsets. The highlight of the evening was a stunning corset dedicated to Tenerife, showcasing her love for the island.

While Valentina Sampaio didn’t walk the runway, she made a special appearance on the catwalk alongside event authorities to present the Most Commercial Swimwear prize to Lava. It was another fabulous moment, highlighting the event’s blend of glamour and recognition for design excellence. This addition brought an extra touch of star power and celebration to the evening, marking two decades of fashion innovation from a true trailblazer.

As the sun set over Costa Adeje, the collections left a lasting impression, celebrating the creativity, sustainability, and vibrant spirit of the Canary Islands. Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje is one of the few places where swimwear is showcased exactly where it belongs—by the sea—making it the ultimate showplace for these designs.
