ISPO Munich joins forces with Copenhagen International Fashion Fair

by Underlines

A merger of two strong partners: ISPO Munich announces the cooperation with Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF). For the first time ever, CIFF will have a partner stand at ISPO Munich (3-5 December 2024), where brands from the denim, sportswear, streetwear and sneaker sectors will showcase the very best of new Danish design ensuring that the increased fusion of sport and fashion and the ensuing business and growth potential will be made accessible to even more retailers across the industry.

Sports and fashion are no longer two distinct categories, but rather interlaced and playing an increasingly important part of everyday life. Athleisure, sports fashion and streetwear will thus be presented in a dedicated hall at this year’s ISPO Munich with the Zeitgeist by ISPO and ISPO 520M concepts. Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) is one of the most important platforms for the international fashion industry and presents sports fashion concepts within the Zeitgeist by ISPO area, which traditionally come more from the fashion sector. In recent years CIFF has evolved from being a regional trade fair into an agenda setting and inspiring international trade platform that showcases some of the industry’s most prolific and future-orientated brands. Since its foundation in 1993, the fair has been dedicated to promoting excellent design, fashion forward innovation and high quality fashion at a democratic price point.

We are delighted to be working with CIFF, one of Europe’s leading fashion platforms. Sport and fashion continue to converge, and traditional boundaries are shifting, leading to exciting potential for brands and retailers that we would like to emphasize together. In the Scandinavian region in particular, sports and fashion brands have been influencing each other for decades, learning from each other and creating new materials, designs and innovations. We want to utilize this potential, support it together, make it visible and drive it forward.”

Tobias Gröber, Executive Director Consumer Goods and Director ISPO Group

In addition to the partner stand for ISPO 2024 in December, a joint program for both press and trade partners is planned parallel to the trade fair. The exhibiting CIFF brands from the denim, sportswear, streetwear and sneaker sectors will provide new impetus, enable further modernization, additional reach and underline the importance of ISPO Munich as a global platform for the sports business that enables and unites networking and inspiration. In return, CIFF will welcome a selected number of the ISPO Munich partnering brands to present during the Danish AW25 Copenhagen Fashion Week for the 64th edition of CIFF.

The future of fashion is built through strong partnerships, knowledge sharing, close collaborations and an openness across borders, fashion categories, cultures and genders. The time is just right to form new alliances with the skilled partners in our neighboring countries, and we are thrilled to join forces and share our visons of the fashion of the future with the talented people of ISPO Group.”

Sofie Dolva, Director at CIFF
