We say goodbye to Alan Boldon, a veteran in our business who worked at several companies including Triumph, Remploy and Silhouette, who died on Saturday 27th March 2021. Beloved husband to Gill, who wanted “to thank all his colleagues and customers for their friendship and support throughout his years in the trade and the happiness that brought him. He was a super husband and friend.”
Amanda Joynt who worked with him at Silhouette said: “I have known and loved Alan, my second dad, for nearly 30 years. From both buying from him and then later working with him, it was an honour and privilege being his friend. I never met a nicer, kinder, more caring or funnier man in my entire life. His family wanted his customers and friends in the lingerie trade to know that he had passed on. I know that he absolutely adored working with us all, whether work colleagues or customers, and we adored him back. So many times we were on the phone recalling and remembering funny stories, he was a natural comedian and irreplacable.”
