Bluebella creates face mask with all profits going to domestic violence support network

by Underlines

Bluebella has launched a designer face mask for Covid-19 protection and will be donating all profits from its sale to international domestic violence charity Chayn. The stylish and feminine black face covering features Bluebella signature eye-lash lace detailing and costs £12, with all profits (£5 per mask) going to Chayn, a global volunteer network which helps women and non-binary people experiencing abuse and gender-based violence.

The mask goes on sale on Bluebella.com from June 18 and several Bluebella Instagram influencers have been modelling the mask ahead of launch including DJ and model Jessica De Oliveira (@Goodgirlisgone), pictured above, and model Sophie O’Neil (@SophieOneil).

Bluebella founder and CEO Emily Bendell said: “With our design and production resources we wanted to create chic but highly functional masks that will encourage people to stay safe, whilst at the same time doing what we can to help to support women during this crisis. The lockdown restrictions, although vital for public health, have been catastrophic for women experiencing domestic abuse and violence.”

The Bluebella mask has adjustable ear-loops, an elasticated trim for a perfect fit and a moulded design which ensures maximum coverage over the nose and the mouth. It has an inner lining which is replaceable (two included with the purchase) and the outer cover is machine washable to 60 degrees. The inner filters do not need to be washed but should be removed when washing the face covering. The inner lining has an anti-bacterial finish which will last for around 40-50 washes.
