Bluebella has been named Lingerie Brand of the Year at the Drapers Awards for the second year running, beating a string of big names including Wacoal Europe, Curvy Kate, Fleur of England, SPANX, Debenhams and Hanro International.  CEO Emily Bendell and head of merchandising Lorna Simpson picked up the prestigious award at the Roundhouse Theatre in London.

Bendell said: “We were hugely honoured to win this award last year, so it is incredible to do ‘the double’ by triumphing a second time. It has been another fantastic year during which we have moved into swimwear and powered forward with our international expansion, particularly in the States where we have been taken on big retailers such as Revolve, Shopbop and Bloomingdale’s.”

“We have had lots of big wins in the UK, too, and it was great to go national in John Lewis stores after getting such a good reaction last year,” she adds. “We have also bolstered the management team with some retail heavyweights joining the board including Tracy Lewis, former Wacoal Europe CEO, and Chris Inman, a former board member of the British Fashion Council. We are very excited about 2019 when we have lots of exciting new plans to grow the brand.”
