Interfilière Paris and Paris Capitale de la Création are pleased to Cheynet as Interfiliere Paris Designer of the Year. The company specializes in elastics and yarn processing and stands out with the creativity and the technical quality of its products that add value to its markets: lingerie, swimwear, and corsetry, medical-grade fabrics, activewear and ready-to-wear, footwear, and men’s underwear.
The family-owned company founded in 1949 by Jean Chenet and his sons represents unique craftsmanship developed over 70 years, at the service of fashion. It was in 1993 that the Cheynet family handed over the reins of the Cheynet Group, and Grégoire Giraud took the helm. The group mastered the production process, which lent it a major role in researching a new generation of elastic products, as outlined by Grégoire Giraud, CEO of Groupe Cheynet: “Since I arrived to head up Groupe Cheynet, my main mission has been to ensure total control of the industrial and sales value chains. The Group, comprised of 4 companies, is vertically integrated, from yarn processing, to dyeing, to the finishing of elastics.”
Cheynet has 200 employees, and over 60% of its revenues come from the lingerie sector. This European leader in elastics manufacturing works with all the biggest names: Chantelle, Simone Pérèle, Lise Charmel, Maison Lejaby and La Perla, while at the same time supporting designer brands such as Paloma Casile, Ysé lingerie, Albertine, Unabella and more
