Estonian underwear brand Friends were proud to present its new Oceanic collection at the Oxford Fashion Studio catwalk show during London Fashion Week. For over 20 years Friends has created collections of underwear and socks for men, ladies and children, and for the SS18 collection the brand takes inspiration from nature and the ocean, its beaches and from the magical elements of water. The range represents different moods of the ocean, starting from light tones through to the darker shades of the night, with gold and silver elements also embedded into the designs to represent the light from the sun and moon.
Showcasing for the 8th year running, Oxford Fashion Studio supports the very best independent fashion talent on an international scale. They kicked off the SS18 runway season in New York and after London will also host shows in Milan and Paris.
Carl Anglim, Director of Oxford Fashion Studio, said on the London shows: “Twenty-four designers from sixteen countries across a single day. From the reinvention of sportswear by Sherry Kwok to the figure-hugging opulence by Anya Liesnik to the spectacular colours of J.Kwan – it’s impossible to sum up in a few lines the creativity and talent on display. An interesting trend this season is the number of Australian designers breaking through with 14 across the season and 6 alone today in London.”
