Luxury online sportswear platform Fashercise are proud to announce the opening of their first retail space in London, located within Studio One in Islington, selling their edit of leading designer activewear labels. Founded by Alexandra Vanthournout and Camille Roegiers in 2014 as an e-commerce platform to stock the best independent activewear labels from around the globe, some of the designers available from Fashercise include Lucas Hugh, We Are Handsome, LNDR, Laain, Varley, Dear Kate, Pointe Studio and Jogha.
Fashercise’s move coincides with a record breaking few months, as the business enjoyed a 100% growth in sales in the last quarter. This amazing growth can partly be contributed to the healthy New Year’s Resolutions in January and the ever growing popularity of boxing, with the sport officially overtaking yoga as the most searched for term on the site, which in turn saw sales of the bestselling Fab by Fabienne Star Boxing gloves grow by 130%. Other recent highlights include collaborations with Hawaiian label Olympia Activewear and London based On The Rise to create exclusive pieces for Fashercise, as well as becoming the exclusive retailer for cult Dutch label Jogha.
Alexandra Vanthournout, co-founder of Fashercise, said: “In 2013 I wrote my very first blog post on running and I was so overwhelmed by the positive response, that I realised there was a gap in the fitness industry for a blog about stylish activewear, easy-to-follow information and advice for the busy modern girl. Four years later, Fashercise has moved from a blog to a successful online business, through which I aim to help empower women with by promoting body positivity and a healthy lifestyle, whilst building a community around those values. I’m so looking forward to this next chapter, where we can evolve our online vision into a real-life experience for our customers and readers in our new London space.”
Studio One represents the perfect partnership for Fashercise, with both brands sharing a mutual desire to strive to break down the barriers to a healthy lifestyle. Studio One combines Reformer Pilates, Yoga, Boxing, Barre and suspension training to reach any fitness goal, and will also run Fashercise’s popular #GirlsGoneRunning running club, aimed at beginners with an emphasis on the fun and social aspect of working out.
Camille Roegiers co-founder of Fashercise added: “Fashercise is all about balance, with fitness being part of your everyday life and enabling women to live independent, healthy lives whilst still having time to relax and enjoy themselves. This move to a bricks and mortar space allows us to create the Fashercise world where we can meet our customers in real life, invite them round for a juice or glass of bubbly and have a little lycra party in the comfort of our beautiful new shop.”
