Luxury loungwear brand Longstaff Longstaff offers beautiful silk robes, tunics, pyjamas and camisoles designed, sourced and manufactured in Britain. Four different stories are available this season, each with a natural, elegant narrative and original, hand-designed prints painted by Longstaff Longstaff’s creative director Sophie Barnard.
The Lotus, Buttercup, Lacewing and Royal Paisley prints are all inspired by flora and fauna and influenced by Sophie’s love of intricate patterns and Russian illustration. The chosen colours are feminine and bold, with each story also containing a ‘ditsy’ version – a pattern which is part of the story but on a smaller scale and more intricate in its detail. The long, sharp collars on the pyjama shirts were designed specifically for Longstaff Longstaff by bespoke shirt-maker Sean O’Flynn, and natural mother of pearl buttons in a beautiful shade of smoky white are carefully selected to adorn the pyjama shirts.
“I’ve always had an appetite for textiles, developing elaborate designs by hand from a very early age and Longstaff Longstaff is my canvas for communicating this passion,” says Sophie. “My intricate designs and precise finishes allow one to feel sophisticated and stylish even when lounging with one’s feet up whilst enjoying a glass of wine.”
