With Immagine Italia just around the corner (11-13 February) the organisers have released their forward trends. The Show attracts the best international brands of the intimate apparel sector and draws its inspiration from world-class trend forecasters. The fabulous historical venue of Fortezza da Basso in Florence plays host once again to this edition (the 16th event).
RETRO SILHOUETTES
Back to the future. Corsetry falls back on its traditional modes, infallible opulence and primitive function to change its appearance with a more sophisticated technicality for optimal comfort. Lace and embroidery design the silhouette with built up bra and high culottes, ornamental motifs, foliage and graphics for a contemporary hymn to pure seduction.
BOLD COLOURS
Corsetry, underwear and loungewear come out of the comfort zone to light up in neon, electric and full of life colours. Design becomes more minimalist and reassuring to permit space for a chromatic discharge that is seductive and intriguing.
A NEW BASIC
The basic, as we know it, is an evolution thanks to more modern, practical and comfortable materials retaining a feminine charm. It’s underwear inspired by the Asian tradition, rigorous and never vulgar, technologically advanced and comfortable every day. Classic colours such as grey, nude and black are complemented by autumnal and pastel tones.
STAY AT HOME
Unboxing the lounge set. Confidential and reassuring, gentle as a caress where anyone would prefer to stay at home. During the pandemic, loungewear evolved and we can no longer do without it but in somewhat bolder styles. Fabrics are more organic and soft with colours ranging from serious to playful.
