The Salon International de la Lingerie and Interfiliere Paris was welcomed back to the international show calendar – eagerly awaited and packed with special events, conferences and fashion shows. Expectations for the event were uncertain but Underlines speaking with both swimwear and lingerie/nightwear exhibitors found that brands were happy with the audience and the professionalism of those buyers and shop-owners who attended. Sophie Knis of the Wacoal Group commented: “Of course we are not back to the numbers we were seeing pre-COVID but those who have attended are glad to be here and serious about booking their orders during the Show. So for us the fair has been a success.” Mary Cameron of Chantelle Lingerie UK, said: “We are pleased with the level of visitors – and the event has been so well organised with a feeling of community and excitement.”
Attendance was divided 45% French and 55% international visitors (UK was ranked second in attendance at Interfiliere and 6th at the Salon International). The main fashion shows were totally inclusive events.
