Ayten Gasson graduated from Central St Martins in 2002 and by the start of 2008, just three years after the label’s inception the brand was being sold in independent boutiques around the world (Fenwick of Bond Street, Le Bon Marche and Topshop in Oxford Street). Things changed as Ayten wanted to preserve her happiness in the business:
“I was producing my pieces in small UK factories and selling them to independent boutiques and department stores worldwide. But I found that I was no longer making myself which was always my passion and the motivation that started Ayten Gasson, So I decided to get back to basics and moved all my production in-house as well as moving our base to Brighton.”
Fast forward to Spring 2022 with more and more time being spent on serving customers directly, the business had moved to an exclusive studio space in Brighton and a new website has been launched to mark the anniversary and to showcase all of the hand-drafted collections.
