Lovehoney survey shows that 28% of shoppers buy new pieces for Valentine’s Day

Lovehoney has launched a range of new lingerie for Valentine’s as a new survey shows that 28% of shoppers buy new pieces for February 14. The Lovehoney survey also revealed that 41% of couples feel the need to ‘sexually impress’ at Valentine’s, and that 53% of couples say they will be making up for lost time this year, after the disruption caused by the pandemic.

Lovehoney spokeswoman Annabelle Knight said: “Valentine’s this year will be the most passionate ever. We’ve all been through a really tough time over the last two years and record numbers of us will be using the big day to celebrate what is most important to us.”

The new Lovehoney collection includes:

  • Fierce Romance Black Wet Look and Lace Bra Set, a smouldering erotic look;
  • Fierce Romance Black Wet Look Bustier Set, which supports the shape with boning to the rear and underwiring beneath the breasts;
  • Lotus Black Sheer Embroidered Body and Bra Set;
  • Plus Size Lotus Black Sheer Embroidered Body, with removable mesh panels, and Chemise Set with matching thong for the full boudoir look;
  • Plus Size Tiger Lily Red Floral Lace Bustier Set, with a plunging neckline to ensure that cleavage is centre stage;
  • Tiger Lily Red Floral Babydoll Set, featuring a sheer mesh skirt that skim the thighs and flatters the body;
  • Plus Size Sweet Love Pink Bra Set and Eye Mask, with a blindfold that doubles up as sleep mask.
