Havaianas announces an unprecedented collection developed for all levels of athletes in the Fortnite game universe and the exclusive Havaianas Summer Island. With its traditional cooling system, the new line of Havaianas vs. Fortnite flip-flops brings the elements of the game in incredible new graphics and three print options. To make the fans’ experiences even more immersive, Havaianas will now have its own map within Fortnite – The Havaianas Summer Island, which can be accessed by players from all over the world.
In the prints, Havaianas brought the most iconic elements of the game such as the Unicorn Llama Pickaxe, which has even turned into a toy in the real world and is one of the game’s most famous assets; and the Battle Bus, a means of transportation that every player needs to use at the beginning of the matches and that takes them to the Fortnite arena.
“We wanted to bring a totally unique and differentiated experience to the Fortnite universe, and getting into the game to bring new narratives to the treasure hunt adding a little bit of Havaianas DNA was a very smart move. Both professionals and fans of the game universe already use Havaianas on a daily basis, and now we can enter their world and actively take part in the exciting challenges that Fortnite brings to them – even with a few surprises. All started with the idea of creating a giant island in the shape of an Havaianas flip flop and separating it into three scenarios to reflect the features of the countries where the new models were going to be launched,” said game developer Alan Shinohara.
