Vanilla have turned production from loungewear and nightwear over to sewing face masks and PPE for those on the frontline in hospitals and nursing home in Łódź, as well as donating 10% of all sales to the hospital in Bałuty. Vanilla Night & Day and Oh!Zuza are brands from the manufacturing city of Lodz and they want to support the most local in need as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic.
Katarzyna Pastwa, founder and creative director of both brands, said: “As the world struggles to cope with the coronavirus, the fashion industry wants to do something. Many Polish brands from Łódź started sewing overalls for medics and mask for the most vulnerable people, and in addition to the financial donations Vanilla Night & Day have also donated 65 masks to the Nursing Home of the Congregation of Sisters Servants.”
