Fashion Revolution has launched a new free online course for people wishing to learn more about the fashion industry’s impact on people and planet, what the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are, and how they are intrinsically linked. The course was specially developed by Fashion Revolution so that participants can learn more about the fashion industry’s ecological impacts as well as its involvement in Fairtrade, international development and the global goals. The 4-week course is completely free and run entirely online – so anyone, anywhere can join.
Sarah Ditty, Policy Director at Fashion Revolution said: “Whether you label yourself as a fashion professional, an activist, a student or simply someone that is interested in all of the above, this course will be both insightful and thought provoking. Amongst other things, you’ll learn about global fashion supply chains, how they work and how they can have a more positive impact on people and planet. You’ll tackle the issue of gender equality, women’s empowerment and how it links to the clothes we wear and decent work and economic growth. You’ll leave knowing more about what this means in the global fashion industry and what we can do to support good working conditions.”
