A. Andreassen was started to bring the traditional craft and quality of handmade shoes and the ideals of Scandinavian design to the humble slipper. Based in London, Astrid Andreassen is a footwear designer with a very international background, bringing an unusual mix of influences to her work being a Norwegian who was born in Poland, grew up in Japan and then studied design in Paris before stints working in Germany and the Netherlands.
Each pair of A. Andreassen mules and slippers has been hand crafted by European artisans using fine natural materials. Lightweight but durable, Italian wool felt is the ideal material for slippers as it’s breathable and naturally keeps your feet warm when it’s cold and cool in warm weather. Made for hygge, a Scandinavian word meaning comfort and well-being, they focus on the simple things that can add a little to our quality of everyday life, at home or out.
