Heist announces the launch of a new seven-shade nude palette to provide hosiery for every skin tone. Developed in partnership with women across the world, the nude palette has been created using crowdsourced results from The Nude Project, which Heist launched in the summer of 2017, where women across the globe could send their own ‘nude’ skin tones via a dedicated microsite. The Nude Project attracted more than 85,000 women from across the world, and over 1,000 distinct skin tones. Heist used these submissions to create a database of shade references, which in-house data scientists clustered into seven new tones, giving everyone the opportunity to find their match.
“We know from our customers that women shy away from wearing nude garments for the most part because, with only a limited range of shades on offer, they are unable to find a suitable match,” said a Heist spokesperson. “We saw the furore around Meghan Markle’s tights at her first royal engagement as Duchess of Sussex, with the press lambasting the shade of nude. Our extended range seeks to solve this problem.”
The range of seven nudes are available in UK sizes 4-14 (the Heist+ range in UK sizes 16-24 will be available in October 2018). Two waistband heights are available with prices ranging from £19 (low waistband) to £21 (high).
