The Mey Lovestory Autumn/Winter 2018 collection pairs luxurious fabrics with puristic lines, combining floral and contrasting ornamental prints, subtle pinstripe and woven stripe effects in a beautiful pine green colour. The idea is to allow every woman to create her very own personal look by combining any of the various products, which also include wrap-around looks, kimono sleeves and outsized tunic styles.
In this season, Mey Lingerie has undergone a makeover as products are no longer offered according to delivery dates and colour flows, but rather according to the fabrics used. A rough distinction is made between: Mey Cotton daywear, Mey Modal daywear and Mey Viscose daywear. Introduced last season, the Cotton Pure series targets a younger demographic offering cool shirts, simple tops and matching bottoms. The fabrics, patterns and colours match the young target group of the loungewear series Mey Night2Day.
Breaking away from the summer colours of the Spring/Summer collection, Mey Lingerie features dark shades of night blue and deep green to create a secretive and sophisticated look. With high-waist pants and underwired bras reminiscent of the 50s, Mey also reawakens the memory of past decades and resorts to retro elements in the Elisa series, comprised of 4 different bra shapes including the newly-developed stitched underwired bra available as a full cup and half cup, as well as the spacer as a full cup and half cup bra.
Last but not least, the Mey Poetry and Mey Poetry Fashion series is based on a fine viscose jersey fabric similar to that used for the lingerie. Particular highlights, such as bralettes and bodysuits, create a clever twist from the special charm of the 20s that contrasts with the modernity of tomorrow, presented in exquisite fabrics and patterns for a glamorous romantic look.
